Robin Wightman Scholarship Applications
The Mid-Atlantic Region is currently offering scholarship assistance to members for attendance at regional and international conferences. Scholarships may cover conference cost and some, if not all, travel expenses.
Two types of scholarship are available. The first is offered to students aspiring to work in the field of experiential education and the second is offered to individual AEE members living and working in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Application deadlines:
• Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference:
April 11-13, 2008 at Capital Area Intermediate Unit, Harrisburg, PA.
Deadline: March 15, 2008.
• AEE Annual Conference:
November 6-9, 2008 in Vancouver, Washington.
Deadline: September 15, 2008.
Applications, which should be no more than one page in length, must include:
1. A letter of application including contact information.
2. A brief personal statement.
3. A clear indication of financial need.
4. A description of how attending an AEE conference will further your professional growth and the field of experiential education.
Recipients will be expected to write a short article for the regional newsletter highlighting their conference experience and its application to the field of experiential education.
