AEE has its roots in outdoor education and is well respected as a leader in the area of accreditation for EE programs. The association has grown to include professionals focusing on wilderness and therapeutic programs, schools and colleges, leadership development, international education, service learning, health, corporate training and development and more.
AEE champions experiential education through the publication of an academic journal, hosting conferences, and by providing a way for practitioners to share research and disseminate practical applications of that research.
AEE's member community reflects the many fields that utilize experiential education methodologies. Members work in outdoor, classroom, human service, organizational training, therapeutic and adventure settings. Together they stand behind an educational philosophy that fosters personal growth, leadership development, teamwork, and environmental stewardship through hands-on experiences.

Renewing Member Discount
Individual, Family and Organizational Members who renew within 30 days of their expiration date will receive a discounted rate.
Membership fees for the Association for Experiential Education (AEE) will be increasing effective January 1, 2009. The increases, which are outlined in the schedule below, amount to roughly 10% for all levels. While the increase is designed to minimize impact to you, the extra revenue will go a long way to helping us achieve many of the new goals we’ve set for the coming year. AEE has not raised rates in at least 6 years.
New rates are effective January 1, 2009 for all members expiring after December 31, 2008.
